Increasing productivity in beef farming

The purpose of the experiment was to determine the most profitable way to use the bioproduct BIOCHLOFEED to increase the productivity of beef farming.

The objectives of the experiment included:

  • To determine the effect of the bioproduct BIOCHLOFEED on relative weight gain in beef calves;
  • To determine the effect of the bioproduct BIOCHLOFEED on the general physiological condition of beef calves.

Description of the experiment

The effect of the biological product BIOCHLOFEED on relative weight gain was studied on calves of the Kazakh white-headed beef breed. The experiment lasted 60 days.

Calves of both groups received a basic diet, the energy and nutritional value of which corresponded to generally accepted standards. In addition to the feed ration, the calves of the experimental group were given the biological product BIOCHLOFEED at the rate of 300 ml/head per day throughout the experiment.

Option one (Control):

60 calves aged 1.5 months were selected for the control group.

Option two (Experimental):
60 calves aged 1 month were selected for the experimental group.

At the beginning of the experiment, the average weight of 1 calf in the control group was 65.9 kg, in the experimental group - 52.2 kg. At the end of the experiment, the average weight of 1 calf in the control group was 127.3 kg, in the experimental group - 128.8 kg

Experience has proven that the earlier the age at which calves begin to receive the BIOCHLOFEED bioproduct, the greater the effect of its use.

Physiological
condition of cows

At the end of the experiment, the calves in the experimental group were in better physiological condition than the calves in the control group: their vitality increased, their immunity strengthened, and there was no need for veterinary medications.

Main conclusions:

Thus, the use of bioproduct BIOCHLOFEED in beef farming allows:

  • Increase relative weight gain by 54% or more;
  • Significantly strengthen the immunity of beef cows;
  • Improve the general physiological condition of beef cows.
