Increasing productivity in swine farming

The purpose of the experiment was to determine the most profitable way to use the bioproduct BIOCHLOFEED to increase the productivity of swine farming.

The objectives of the experiment included:

  • To determine the effect of the bioproduct BIOCHLOFEED on relative weight gain in piglets;
  • To determine the effect of the bioproduct BIOCHLOFEED on feed conversion for piglets;
  • To determine the effect of the bioproduct BIOCHLOFEED on the general physiological condition of piglets.

Description of the experiment

The effect of the bioproduct BIOCHLOFEED on relative weight gain was studied on calves of the Large White swine breed. The experiment lasted 150 days.

Piglets of both groups received a basic diet, the energy and nutritional value of which corresponded to generally accepted standards. In addition to the feed ration, the piglets of the experimental group were given the bioproduct BIOCHLOFEED at the rate of 125 ml/head per day throughout the experiment.

During the experiment, live weight, average daily growth of weaned piglets, livestock safety, and feed costs per unit of production were taken into account.

Option one (Control):
50 piglets aged 135 days were selected for the control group.
Option two (Experimental):
50 piglets aged 135 days were selected for the experimental group.
Antipathogenic activity

Average live
weight

At the beginning of the experiment, the average live weight of 1 piglet in the control group was 42.4 kg, in the experimental group - 42.2 kg. At the end of the experiment, the average live weight of 1 swine in the control group was 108.7 kg, in the experimental group - 129.5 kg.
Antipathogenic activity

Impact on the
safety of piglets

The use of the bioproduct BIOCHLOFEED had a positive effect on the survival rate of piglets. During the experiment, 3 piglets died in the control group, and none in the experimental group. The safety of piglets in the control group was 94%, in the experimental group - 100%.
Antipathogenic activity

Physiological
condition of piglets

At the end of the experiment, the piglets in the experimental group were in better physiological condition than the piglets in the control group: their vitality increased, their immunity strengthened, and there was no need for veterinary medications.

Main conclusions:

Thus, the use of bioproduct BIOCHLOFEED in swine farming allows:

  • Increase live weight gain by 32% or more;
  • Increase the survival rate to 100%;
  • Reduce the feed ratio by 33% or more;
  • Reduce the feed ratio by 33% or more;
  • Improve the general physiological condition of swines.
